My name is Anja van der Meijden, I was born on October 7, 1958.
From the age of 18 I have been busy with dogs. In 1979 I became a member of the VDH and I have been a fan of the German Shepherd and the dog sport for more than 40 years.>In the early 1980s I successfully completed the instructor course and I was the first female helper who passed the helper course. In the years that followed, I became a competition helper and I am still helper from time to time.
I have been an instructor at a Dobermann club for 7 years and there I have guided someone to the FCI championships. I have been closely involved in several WUSV and EUSV championships, including 4x as a participant and several times as an instructor or supervisor of participants. I also played a role in the organization of 2 WUSV championships.
My own career in the dog sport has had a number of highlights, including European Champion with 293 points and second place at the European Championship with also 293 points. I have also been both Dutch and Brabant champion. I have trained several German Shepherds up to IPO3 and built up several dogs into service / police dogs.
Since 1993 I am the judge of the VDH and the Raad van Beheer.
